Anybody watched this or read the Manga?
I'm more a bit more than halfway through the Anime. It's like a detective series. All the characters have/show very little stupidity, which is hard to find in many Anime. I highly recommend ppl watch or at least take a look at the Anime/Manga.
Main Character: Ayumi Naryumi Summary: Ayumi (since he was young) has been chasing after his older brother & trying to surpass him. Assisting his sister-in-law with various cases involving, he stumbles into cases involving "The Blade Children" and begins researching on who they "really" are. He also thinks they might link to his missing older brother.

I suggest you watch it, Shiku. It's worth watching.
I'm really into the Anime right now & I currently know most of 'the Blade Children' <their names at least> It ain't as heavy in action as others I've seen, but it's still an awesome Anime. The enemy isn't even obvious in this Anime either... *shifty eyes* but I have a guess to who might be the enemy.... *grin* I'll have to wait to see if I'm right after I finish watching it. :D

*sweatdrop* his sister is a high ranked detective...
they actually don't explain too much about the Blade Children in the Anime, and leave alot of questions unanswered at the end which is disappointing. Before I got into the Anime, I was reading a fanfic that was Spiral-based. This is some info you will not see in the Anime, however it will help you understand stuff a bit better ahead of time if you wanted to watch the Anime:
THE BLADE CHILDREN PROJECT
Yaiba Mizushiro---- Creator of the Blade Children. Mizushiro was born missing a seventh rib, hence the missing seventh rib within the Blade Children. Wonder of the world, and a multi-faceted individual. At 23 years of age, he created a "secret society", thus birthing the Blade Children. Resources claim that Mizushiro created the Blade Children out of sheer boredom.
Mizushiro created a total of eighty Children using in vitro techniques. The children are missing their seventh rib to signify their connection to Mizushiro, in addition to their fates: They will grow to become geniouses of their own right, however at a certain point in their lives, their destructive natures will overtake them, and they will become Mizushiro's "avatars".
Mizushiro's society was eventually split into three groups: 1.) The Sabers-- supporters of the Blade Children project; 2.) Watchers-- those who were indifferent about continueing or terminating the project; and 3.) Hunters-- individuals who wanted to eliminate the Blade Children and the project altogether. The latter group (Hunters) tried several times to assasinate Mizushiro, however all of their efforts failed miserably.
Then, when Mizushiro was thirty-six, a man by the name of Kiyotaka Narumi murdered him easily, thus terminating the Blade Children project. Narumi still had his hands full, however, keeping the Hunters from killing the remaining Blade Children, as well as keeping the Sabers in check. Eventually the Sabers surrendered, and are either in prison, deceased, or in hiding. The Hunters, however, were not so easily submissive. Many Hunters are still on the loose, and looking to destroy the Blade Children.
These artificially created humans claim that their existance is "cursed", and that "death follows them like a shadow." Research indicates that these quotes have truth to them. Several of the deaths in the greater Osaka and Tokyo Bay areas have been in relation to a Blade Child, or multiples thereof. In conclusion, the Blade Children have at least been relieved of their "God" Yaiba Mizushiro, however their "cursed fate" may continue to live on forever...
